I’ve made additional updates to my supplement regimen. I added 5-HTP, which I’ve been taking since March. After I stopped taking antidepressants, I felt worse, and I wasn’t sure I would improve. I thought it wouldn’t hurt to try a small-dose 5-HTP supplement, so I started taking 100 mg a day and have continued to do so. It definitely seems to help. I also added another supplement to the section listing supplements that did not work for me, calcium + vitamin D. This supplement caused my acne to get worse and caused my iron markers to worsen. Now that I’m back on a regular calcium supplement, I’m feeling better, my skin is clearer, and my iron markers are improving.
